 By using a 300mm zoom lens as a 'close up' lens it is possible to get really good bokeh. That's what happened here. This was handheld, and I got as close as the lens would let me. (Mine happens to be a 70-300 so it made me stay away from the subject by a few feet) I suppose it takes practice to work on the bokeh.

I did very little to this image to make it presentable except crop it.
