 The Kamakura Daibutsu.
The statue was made in the 13th century. It was originally enclosed in a hall, but after the building was destroyed by a typhoon (twice), they didn't bother building it again. ;-Þ

Can't see enough of Buddha for him to be a good subject.

A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an interesting image but of less than universal appeal. A good entry into the challenge.
