When I first looked upon this I thought you were wrong. I thought it was an ode. But you're right after all; it's a ballad. Simple, folksy, and beautifully musical. Nice composition too; panels of light and dark; love and loss; optimism and despair. The nails in the wall suggest something sad took place here, like a quiet, slow crucifixion. |

love it .. love it .!!! . how atmospheric and sombre .. i cant quite express why this is so excellent to me .. i'm looking out the window at the shapes of the trees and the shadows .. its such a contrast with the interior of the room .. its such an old looking room, i can almost smell it .. brilliant image . :) |

There's not a lot here to look at, and yet it's hard to not look. Well done. |

Very minimalist and effective - different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail, it might have been a better choice to close the other window curtain to create a sense of mystery and intrigue. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done. |
