| The texture, the edges, and the whips of color make this image pop. This is so much more, than it would have been fully lit. Excellent choice on the lighting. |

Judy- Since you are one of the prime reasons I began to leave comments, I decided to find your last entry and leave my 9000th comment. Your comments are always a joy to read, thoughtful, helpful, providing both critique and encouragement.
I quite like this little poppy shot. Elements I espeically like are the edges being so sharp, the colors and petals soft and delicate, and the flower almost wilting as if the black is pulling their life away. Too subtle to score well, but lovely all the way.

| A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. A top ten image and a very strong contender for a ribbon. Well done. |
