Wouldn't know what to say were it not for the title: a day or two before I saw this for the first time it occured to me that what I was was a chateleine, never mind that our strangely built house is falling apart and there are no servants or vassals inside or out ... Only moi, and only inside moi do I see myself swanning about. |

This is beautiful and so unusual. Creates lots of questions. The textures are great with the smooth mirror against that rough wall and wood. The graceful woman in the mirror is the icing on the cake. No wonder you received such a high score and placement. Congratulations. |

Wow! I didn't see this, it's, it's...so cool! I'm with Deb, I hope you just ran into her there and caught her dancing all alone. |

PostLuminous Award Nominee!
Textures, tones, colors, lines--almost didn't notice the woman in the mirror at all! Terrific! |

Great view - did you bring the model or borrow her from someone else's shoot? I like to think she's just there and you happened upon her. 'Grats on the score and top 20 in a FS. And no 1s, 2s, or 3s! |

PA has fancy prisons :P It took me a sec to see the mirror in voting, but once I saw it, I really liked how I was forced to look around the photo. Very cool perspective. Congrats on the top 20 in a FS! |

I love the composition of this shot, its really stunning. I dont' like the use of Topaz (if thats what you've used) - it draws the eye to the now rather fake looking wooden door. Personally I would have gone for use of curves to bring out the textures, there is so much already there and you have an amazing eye |

Minimalist imagery is always appreciated. A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done |

Good for you to capture the wall, door, peeling pain, and reflected image of dance and then to enter this rich image rather than any more direct photos of the woman. It takes a strong photographer to look away from an obvious "main subject" and find such a visually captivating alternative. |
