 Yes, our poor roses are losing their bloom...taken midday so there were some strong shadows around.
Processing:
Crop and rotate image so shadow is diagonal
Color Efex Pro duplex filter
Color Efex Pro tonal contrast filter
overlay mode 20% opacity
overlay mode 20% opacity
overlay mode 100% opacity; note that on this one I resized it larger that the image so the black border wouldn't show. I often add some extra odd borders on the textures I make; sometimes they work but more often not, but it is easy to get rid of them when sizing the texture over the image.

That last texture you used is perfect - it gives the photo an exquisite painted look. The creamy, golden colors just top this all off.

lovely effect - much like an oil painting.

I would be interested to know what this would look like with the very centre of the flower a bit sharper and less textured .

love the diagonal dividing light from dark and the rose reaching up .. the colours are gorgeous and your texture perfect .. i've looked and looked but cant see a cat anywhere .. lol .. :)

The first thing that came to mind was Touched by a Rose by Seal. Lovely texturing to send him on his way. :)
