Challenge: Darkness II (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3
Location: behind the wheel
Date: May 3, 2009
Aperture: 3.3
ISO: 100
Shutter: 30 sec.
Date Uploaded: May 4, 2009

A dark & stormy night. An open shutter. A long exposure. I predict another sub-4 score because there is nothing in focus. I am unrepentant. The color in the FG is the hood of my truck reflecting the scene. The exposure 'starts' at the horizon line as I opened the shutter & continues to the upper edge as my truck passed under the traffic light. In the darkness on the other side of the traffic light the headlights of oncoming cars make a little glow on the horizon. I used the Night Sceenery setting & turned off the Anti-Shake & balanced the camera on the top of the steering wheel. I am not a big Star Trek fan, but some images & phrases from the movies will be in my mind forever, so finding the title for this was easy. "D

Love the idea as well as the colours. Very little black in this one. I'm sure this will score very high.

Really pretty. I like the abstractness and that pop from the turquoise.

Abstract in execution, a very competant image without any significant issues. The temptation would have been to slightly over expose the lights, but that was avoided. In an artistic sense, it is vibrant with complimentary colors and shapes - very scifi in nature as befits it's title - nothing seems over done or out of place.
