I immediately thought of roz and her outstanding bug shots. This guy is tiny. You can't tell, but this is a single begonia blossom and he is just a bit bigger than a mosquito. I was so glad he lit on that flower. I had to use manual focus. Played with a grunge/border layer.

It looks like he is being caressed by the flower, I love the little glint of light on his wing. I love the low key treatment, makes it seem secretive and mysterious!

I like this, but it seems a bit to dark for me...otherwise, I just wish I could see the flower and the bee a bit more...

You're not so bad at the bug shots yourself, Missy! Seriously. This works so well with your deep rich toned texture. It's artistic and believable!

lol .. & i thought 'ahha' .. judy has fallen in love with bugs too .. !
its a killer shot judy .. i love the amazing rich colours and the lighting .. its very beautiful ..
those little insects can be so hard to capture .. i think he's a sort'v fly .. there's a brilliant site i found the other day .. this guy has taken stacks of photographs of insects and named all the ones he could identify .. incredible job .. i wrote to him to say thanks .. i take heaps of insects but often have no idea wot they are .. i was able to name quite a few of them from his site ... life unseen .. he's in australia but i'd say there'd be lots of insects that we have in common ..
