Ok by request here are the basic steps that I use to create these pics.

1) Think up an idea… (this is the tricky bit lol)
2) Find or create the Base image, in my case so far this would be a plain parcel, a book, a cup etc etc
3) Use one of your own images that fits in with the theme of your Base Image. Eg for the parcel I used an image of a post box (mailbox)
4) Ok lets clarify the names of the images.
Base Image (this is the theme ie cup, book etc)
Overlay Image (this is your image that you will lay over the Base Image)
5) Open the Base Image and make a duplicate layer. (I do this as it enables me to play around with opacity etc etc)
6) Open the Overlay Image.
7) Check the size of the images relative to each other and adjust so that they are similar.
8) Take a copy of all or part of the Overlay image.
9) Paste the Overlay image in the Base Image window (this will create a new Layer lets call it OL Layer)
10) With the OL Layer selected adjust the Opacity and Layer style to see what affects you can achieve. (try Normal and Overlay)
11) If you have a 3D Base image you can play around with the orientation and perspective of the Overlay Image using tools such as Free transform, warp, distortion etc
12) By using the eraser whilst the OL Layer is selected you can remove the parts of the Overlay Image that you don’t want and reveal the parts of the Base Image below. (take great care during this bit as jagged edges are very apparent in the final cut)
13) Once you are happy make sure the layers that you wish to include in the final image are set to visible (the eye is showing) and then select Layers Merge Visible (or flatten if you prefer)
14) Now you can play around with your image in the usual way B&C, H&S etc etc etc
15) Save for web and your done.

I’m no PS expert so I’m sure there are very many better ways to achieve this but this is simply what I do as it’s straight forward and fairly easy.

Nice! I wonder if it would blend better if you used "Darken" as the blending mode on the logo overlays...
