Planted sixty-six plants out in my garden today, all grown from seed (well, by me. The ones you buy at the feed store are grown from seed too, but... nevermind, moving on). Eighteen of the plants were these Orange Bell bell peppers, with which I fell in love last summer. (I also planted two other varieties of pepper, three varieties of tomato, and ten hills of basil.)

Coming up next week, I'll be doing a lot more weeding (half my garden looks like a hayfield) and then planting four varieties of squash, some baking pumpkins, a couple kinds of melon, cucumbers, and some beans. Meanwhile we've started eating our spinach and the carrots and peas are looking mighty chipper. This is a busy time of year for me. :) I already have a fine farmer's tan going.

Gorgeous. Love the light filtered from behind. Bokeh background is perfect backdrop. Scale is wonderful. Thanks for the glimpse into your current distraction. Don't forget to clean under your nails!

I like the backlighting to this, and the dof.
You have been busy. There's nothing like fresh produce. We can't water our plants anymore (water restrictions) so have had to give up on plants that need it. I wish you a happy and prolific harvest.

Great! Busy time in our garden too, but we are a bit behind you in weather and work. We generally wait until Mother's Day to put in the annuals and plant the veggies. That's today so I better get busy. Had to fence in the raised vegetable bed to keep the dog out. Planted a few more trees. I'll have to rip out some herbs (bronze fennel, mint) that have really taken over in a few places (when Patty's not looking of course.)

But this is about your photo... Wonderful DOF and lighting. And of course it has impact for me as it reminds me of my duties and sends me outside.
