 HDR shot in Prairie Creek Redwood State Park. It is very hard to find the best way to capture the size of these trees.

EXACTLY! Last summer we took the kids down to all the parks in SoCal and hit the redwoods on the way back, i too had a hard time trying to capture the size and fell back on the old standard of putting people in the shot.


You did a much better job.

That's always my problem when I try to take photos of the areas I go backpacking through- everything looks mundane because you can't gather how immense it all is. Having the stream here helps a bit, though.
