raceface drivetrain :-) nice ! , if there are disc brakes ... huh? more stopping power would be nice to have, right?
from what year is this SID fork ?
I think the fork is a 2005 model...I've had it a few years. I had a 2004, but had to have Rockshox replace it due to a defect.
I thought about putting disc brakes on it, but to do it right would cost about $1,100-$1,200. I would have to replace both hubs, buy an adapter from Litespeed, and then buy the disc brakes themselves that seem to be running about $250 per wheel. When done, I would have a bike that is heavier, and doubt that the stopping performance would be much better than the V-brakes. The V-brakes have great feel, and if needed I can lock them up on any surface. If I lived in a wet/muddy area, I would probably make the switch.

litespeed frame, sram x0 components, sid suspension, mavic xm 719(?) rims...may i ask at how many kilo's (or lbs) your bike weights in?
litespeed frames are really rare here in europe, and thus cost a fortune but i'd love to own one myself.
really sweet ride!
Thanks! Yes, this is a pretty amazing machine. It weighs in at just over 10 Kilos (22-23lbs). Recent additions are carbon fiber bars & seat post, which might have brought the weight down a little bit. I hand built the wheels myself using the Mavic rims, Chris King rear hub, and Ringle front hub. That stuff is as old as the frame, back from when purple was in style. The purple head set is Chris King also, and you just can't wear that stuff out. The one complaint is that the motor has a lot of miles on it, and occasionally sputters!;-)

Beautiful!! I have a friend who has owned several Litespeeds - one with over 30,000 miles on the frame (he's mostly a roadie). This looks brand new!
Thanks! I think I have close to 25,000 miles on this frame. Titanium is pretty special, so hope it will last many more years. It looks new because just before taking this photo, I polished the frame, and put new decals on it. The nice thing about titanium is that you can rub it out with 0000 steal wool, and then buff it with Mother's Aluminum/Mag polish for an as new appearance.
