The title is very accurate. As interesting as the book is, the addition of the feather and skull was a good choice. However, IMHO, the quill is a bit misplaced. It is a bit visually awkward over half the skull.

I'm bothered by the feather going across the eye socket on the skull. I like the idea, and the combination of dogeared book, quill, and skull.
