 I tried to shot something other than just flowers for this but it did not work out well. Compostion was too centered and it looked really cluttered. I did not want to do just the tulips so I added the lupin.

Shot in late afternoon window light from the far window in my apartment. Looks OK, I think but it could use a litte clean up in advanced editing but basic it is so the bits of glare on the bottle and the schmootz on the base will have to stay. grrrr :D! Camera on tripod and cable remote release for the long exposure.

Post Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust sharpness. 3 crops. Curves adjustment.
Resize. USM.

Many have submitted photos of unconventional still life subjects, but it is hard to beat a well done traditional vase and flowers. This one is exceptional. 10

I would vote this a bit higher if it were brighter. Still one of my favorites of the challenge.

This is NICE!.... the composition and colors and background are very appropriate. This is a photograph that would be great to enlarge, print and frame.

Beautiful in the classic notion of an arranged still life. Subject and composition are virtually perfect. I might like it just a bit brighter, but as is, it's among my favorites this challenge.

Looks like an art. Lighting at the tip enhances the flowers. Good color contrast.

Beautiful still life quality, but I can't really make out the object in the bacground. I need to calibrate my glasses!

This has an old masters feel to it. I might've had more negative space to one side. Just my taste. :~)
