Not what I had in mind for high iso at all! 400 is the highest on the fz5, and I don't think I've ever tried it - at least not in the garden, even in open shade. Works quite nicely to my surprise. I did apply median filter before sharpening and downsizing. The colour was fine in the deep purple iris but the background greenery was way lurid, so I fiddled a bw conversion. - I think what I learned was that in fair light high iso ain't so bad.

When I saw the thumbnail for this I could've sworn it was a negative photo. I agree somewhat with tpbremer's remarks about things being somewhat washed out. The dark is very dark but rather uniformly so, and the background is pretty uniformly grey as well. I did a really quick and overkill edit that brings out some of the texture on the petals. Like I said, rather overkill but I was hurried.

not bad at all. I would just like to see a bit more contrast for my tastes. I don't mind it being low contrast, but this is somewhat washed out for me.
