I find a value of 35 is a good starting point that removes most noise while preserving detail. You can see on the left hand screenshot, that it did soften the foreground trees just slightly. In order to preserve that detail, I went into the color range protection tab and selected the green and yellow ranges to protect. (Right side screenshot) It is important to pull down the sliders to tell it how much to protect the selected color range. If you leave the sliders at the top, it will have no effect.
