Processed a bit differently here but I have the same image for the Where I Live SD.
October brings the week-long International Balloon Fiesta, and yes, the people and balloons come from all over the world. Albuquerque is a great place to be in that week.
Here three balloons are heading for the golf course (seen in the previous IR shot) across Academy St. You can see the extinct volcanoes to the west - that's the west side over the Rio Grande.

Geez, OK people! I get it. All of you hate the halos LOL I liked them as something different. I won't do it again :)

I left the halo here because it gave the balloons a 3D effect :)
And yes, the alien balloon was floating above one day and since this IS NM - that Roswell thingie you know - I figured it was appropriate LOL!

HA, now I see where you got your profile picture!

These things are crazy-weird in their flamboyant designs and ability to draw attention in any setting. You caught that well here.

In my area they are plentiful in the very early morning and are for hire to wine country tourists. Nope, never been up in one.

Okay, one of the things Topaz does all too well is halo the very best of objects. My monitor shows a lot of that going on around the balloons. And the tree. In my own experimenting, I've found that working the sliders can diminish the haloing - but also diminishes the effect. There must be a happy medium in there someplace.
