 Buganvilia, also known as a weed here in Kaua`i. The colors are brilliant and they thrive in just about every micro climate we have here. There have been a lot of flower photos lately and it is rainy here too. What else can one expect when they live a few miles from the wettest place on Earth! I do love living here.

This stuff can be very powerful - I've seen it take over a telephone pole to the full height of it, and it pulled down part of a fence in my yard in Florida. But once it gets blooming, it's gorgeous! Just watch for the thorns... :-) Nice capture of it - brings back good memories for me.

its a great shot sean .. i love bouganvillea .. love the flowers .. used to have one where i lived once .. the thorns were a problem in the eaves of the house tho .. started tearing the house apart .. !!..:) ..
