Nothing much to this. Just cleaned the image up with levels, dodging and burning, and some spot editing. And unsharp mask.

Did some more work since then. I grayscaled it, too.

I hope this does decently. It's the first one I think will do decently that i've submitted in a while.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I concur with all positive statements below!

In this image, I see three push pins on a strong 'third' node, in a touchy-feely situation. What's really nice about this photo is that it is so simple, and yet has a unique flair to it that sets it apart from other shots. Some below have suggested moving the pins around in new positions, but I like what you've chosen, though I'm sure different shots with different communications could be done.

The tilt of the frame and the negative space help to put these pins into their environment, which is white, quirky, and empty. Somehow, if pins could live where they wanted, this just might be a space in which they might enjoy. The negative space also makes our imaginations look beyond the frame and crop of the photo.

Your lighting may be a just a tiny bit harsh here, and this causes some harsh shadows and highlights on the pins themselves and directly beneath them. Light that is more diffused, but still bright, may have worked better, or perhaps you just added lots of contrast in post processing. It seems the focus of pins fades, especially on the two leftmost pins, so perhaps a smaller aperture would have kept them in focus better.

Overall, this shot works. It is fun, has a great title, meets the challenge, and I enjoy looking at it. Keep up the good work!

NIce shot, good use of negative space. Maybe moving the pins apart a little, the two on the right IMO would look better slightly apart.

Clever idea ... but now I want to see them standing up and leaning in together.

It's original and works well in the high-key setting. Catchy title! Look at it with any border, I suspect you'll find it doesn't need one.

I like this idea a lot and is very creative. Nice choice using clear push pins, too. Lighting and contrast are excellent. Now, the only thing that is stopping me from giving you a 10 is the border. Personally, I feel it is too thick for a simple composition such as this. If you left it as a simple thin black border (maybe 4 or 5 pixels) I'd probably rate it higher. 8

Shadows seem a bit harsh. Interesting idea.

I like this, great composition and I love the black and white treatment. It's definately one of the best this week.

Ironic - OUCH! I like the B&W I like the shadows and reflection. I might have composed the pins a bit more spread apart so the two on the left dont overlap so.

I really love this idea, and the outcome is very good. I feel like there might have been a better arrangement or angle of the pins, but of course, I haven't tried to to better, so maybe not. :) Well done.
