Shot in RAW on a rainy morning
Processed in ACR with considerable curves tweaking in 2 directions to gain luminosity and mid-tone detail enhancement, exported to CS3, thence shadow/highlight to finish the pseudo tone-mapping, and hue/saturation (primarily a red boost and a larger yellow boost) to set the colors.
Adamus sharpening, resized, border, save for web (a lousy 52 quality, sheesh, can't do this stuff at 150 Kb, no way)
***********
There are organizations devoted to preserving our New England stone walls, which are fast disappearing in modern times. They are a big part of our history, and have been tabbed (with a nod to our Puritan forbears) as "sermons in stone". This one's at least 150 years old, maybe older, though it's hard to pin down because of course they tend to fall down every winter with the frost heaves and have to be rebuilt, at least in part, every spring. |

I saw the preaching tree like someone else did. The processing is a little subtle here for you - and I like how this looks! I really loved seeing the stone textures and their varying shades and colors. |
