 Sunflower buds and bloom.

Multiple layers:
First set in RAW mode;
1 -(normal) base layer, levels, curves, B/C adjusted, cropped.
2 - (normal) Burned out bright area, adjusted colour
3 - (lighten) dodged areas on buds to help them stand out. sharpen.
flatten layers, Resize, USM

additional layer in jpg,,, lighten, saturation adjusted, brightness adjusted, colour adjusted, cloned out a bit of leaf at the bottom, USM, colour profile assigned.

A bit of a stretch. The subject of this photo is really the one flower (though it's a good shot of the flower).

This is a good picture of a flower, and I rated it as such (5). Main problem with this is that flowers really need to make an impact to have me notice them since we see so many every week. Technically, a little sharper focus on the pedals would have strengthened this.

Very nice flower pic, especially of a yellow flower, but the background is weird and splotchy toward the bottom of the picture.
