 Worked here for 7 years and currently teach K-9 classes two nights a week. Sarah ( K9logicwho also works here) went around and turned the lights on inside the rooms - her suggestion (thanks for the help). This area is full of bright colors. Never seen it in a B/W perspective before - it grew on me.

This is the doggie adoption area. They chill in these living rooms which allow people to see them in a setting closer to a home enviroment.

My initial thought was 'institutional', but the light coming from the rooms adds warmth and a sense of welcome to this shot. The reflections & patterns on the floor are visually interesting as well.

Stark hallway with swinging doors evokes a sense of hospital or clinic. Interesting to hear about bright colors being used (probably helps set a positive mood). Contrast and tonal range handled well.

Ooooh. Love the contrast and the reflections the lights cause. It has a bit of a 1950's horror movie feel to it.
