Taken very quickly in the lobby of Main Street Station. Did not want to bother the man sitting quietly at the table. This shot continues to catch my eye, though not sure why. Maybe it's the mystery he presents. I'm a sucker for lines and buildings. Maybe thats it. =)

This building was built in 1901. Built as a full service train station, it operated until 1971 when it was closed. I was born in 74 and around the age of 7, the City of Richmond opened it up as a mall. It didn't do well and after a few years it closed again. In 2004, it was renovated and returned to rail service.

the lighting is killer here. Beautiful lighting, dark, yet soft ... and very hard to capture. The mood, the composition, the feel, the lighting all perfect. Very artistic and right up my alley.

I like the overall feel to this. The darkness, the space and the colors. Nice one!

I think it's a combination - lines, geometry, soft light, pensive pose. Well seen!

This is an eerily silent image.. The dark tones help create a sense of mystery.

Very emotive image....moddy, and almost dark...I agree with blad that there is something in the composition that looks a little awkward, perhaps it's the marble column. Overall though nicely captured, it would probably also look good as a b&w image.

The softness to this works well. I like how the pole and man are the same tones, and the rest of the setting is dark. Provides a nice contrast scene.

Great street photography sort of shot here. I like the dark moody surroundings and the way the light column is a line right to the human in the shot. Superb for a grab shot.

I love the pearly light and the reflection in the floor. It may have balanced out a bit better if he wasn't sitting in line with the light column, but it's got a very cool feel to it.

Such a voyeuristic view into the psyche of a stranger. Great shot. I kind of like the off-kilter composition; it adds drama for me.
