 This is our new house, which is nearing completion. We've been renovating it since last November (we've been living in our current house the whole time). We move in July 1, which will be one week after the challenge ends.

The porch will be glorious - we'll have a fan at each end and recessed lights in the middle. At the far end will be a swing. I just love the beadboard ceiling, which is stained instead of painted white.

Shot at 2 am. I lit up the ceiling with a flashlight, playing it back and forth repeatedly. Looks like I didn't illuminate a couple of stripes in the middle as much as the rest.

Between taking this and the night the challenge started, they put in the rest of the railing on the far side and put in the full railing down both sides of the steps.

Shot at 14mm.

Editing was a bit of contrast and sharpness enhancement, plus color correction.

Post-challenge: The porch is now finished. :)

How fabulous. We built a farmhouse style home but I hated living in the country. That porch is a dream!!!

This is a fun shot to add to the family collection. The house looks great! Love the porch - looks like it's going to be a great place to hang out. I like the light shining on the house - looks almost like a spotlight. Good luck on the move!

After re-reading my comment, I want to reword it. It was meant as a compliment to Jeffrey. I can't get that beautiful look without resorting to a filter like Topaz Simplicity, and so was impressed with his camera skills.

Very nice!! I've been watching the construction through your series of pics on Facebook. Clever and well executed idea here with the angle, the time of day (night) and the flashlight lighting. And move-in day is rapidly approaching!!
