Title is a Catwoman qoute. She looks kinda Catwoman, don't you think? Hehe =)
Well, my best produced photo yet. My trustworthy girlfriend agreed to model for me again, and you can't fail with a model like her (I have to write that since she's going to read the image description sooner or later)! So here's the photo, I hope it will do good because we worked our ar**s off for this one.
We climbed the roof on my old school to have our little photoshoot. We did not have permission or anything, so both of us had the "burglarish breaking and entry" look. Adding some fashionableish black make-up, and we were good to go!
The lighting setup was my most challenging yet (alot of yets around today). I wanted a dramatic sky, thus the low aperture, so I fixed two SB units on my model. One 900 (flash from hell...) bouncing off an umbrella to light her face, and a 800 (awesome flash as well!!!) to add some light on her (lack of a better word) backside. I don't think her one displayed shoe wouldn've been visible otherwise. Anyway, gotta love Nikons CLS system!
Post production was fairly simple. All starting with RAW:
WB slightly adjusted
Contrast
Brightness
Open in CS3
Cloned out dust
Reduce Noise and sharpened with the Neatimage plug in
Changed to 8-bit
Grayscale
Duotone
Blue tone (pantone reflex C)
Cropped
Resized
Gaussian blur
Save for web
That was it! Good luck to myself

I really enjoy this bizarre image with so much dark space and a reference in the title I don't understand. Works for me! |
