A trip to Santapod to get some shots of the jet cars. However, after much deliberation decided to go with a bike.
A quick fiddle with the sliders in Raw, crop and rotate, curves, noise, sharpen, saturation, contrast, resize, border, noise sharpen, save for web, cross fingers for a good score.
Wow, just got back from holiday to find my shot on the front page.
This was my first ever attempt at motion panning. I had no idea on the setting or panning techniques required, so I followed the instructions from an online tutorial. It's amazing how much you can learn online. Although I did take about 300 shots to get about 30 keepers!
Thanks everyone for the positive comments

Could that be Ian King? He has done well since BJ retired as the world No 1.
Good capture and I like the diagonal composition. Good colours and good motion blur:) |

That sure doesn't look like a comfortable way to ride a bike. Interesting image. |

Good composition, with the necessary dynamism provided by the camera tilt. |
