Underexposed to preserve details. Bracketed exposures but ended up only using this one.

This was one of those scenes where the camera just could not capture what was in front of me (damn the D2h!!) and post-processing was needed to bring out what I witnessed. Granted, I may have gone overboard with saturation, but I assure you this was some glorious light indeed - one of the top 5 sunsets I've ever witnessed, especially in Philadelphia.

Here is an alternate from about 5 minutes before, before the sun came bursting through the clouds:



I don't often hope my image would do well but I really wanted this one to - I'm happy with where it is right now (6.4) but would love comments on how it could have been better, whether the subject matter itself is just not interesting enough or if it's too saturated or what.

I think the color is spot on, balanced well too. This scene feels so relaxing.

Great scenery and a wonderful light. The composition is a tiny bit centered for my liking, a bit more open space on the right and it would be perfect. 8.
