Very powerful. Reminds me of Waiting for Godot. (Prefer it to the sloped version. The rectangularity and size of the space are very strong elements).

I didn't try a different crop on the other one. I shoot a lot in this place and I shoot horizontal most of the time. I went for the vertical framing because of the diagonal on the left - that I like. But hey, I'll try a horizontal crop on the other one and I'll post it here :) And I'll take Deb's suggestion as well and tilt this one :)

I like both of these pics, but I think I like this one better. I went back and forth a lot trying to figure out the rationale behind the "gut reaction" ... and to understand better my own composition biases. I think it's the vertical orientation that may detract a bit from the other.

In any case, this one is awesome - great patterns, wonderful use of the line on the left to balance (as noted before) and great moment w/ the arm extended.

I think you need to tilt this - have them going up a huge slope. :-) Excellent catch! Great environment to shoot in. I'd probably sit there and shoot all day.
