Black Skimmer

I take my kids frequently. Great place to visit if you are ever in Orange County.

A natural form of trolling?

a great moment you've captured but I would say 1) too pixelated, 2) barely any pan and 3) too zoomed out for an action shot of this sort... and I know its a pain I can only go to 200mm myself! I think if this were cropped into just the bird and the reflection it would be a standout shot, even if the bird is facing outwards

Nice shot, but not much of a pan...

Sorry, this just doesn't work for me. The background is blurred, but little suggestion of the bird moving, plus the bird is looking out of the image.

The bird's feet distract me. Isn't it silly! When I look at this, all I see is a big arrow > in the middle of the shot!

It's a nicely timed shot, but there's minimal signs of any panning going on. It would have been nice to see some horizontal streaking of the background.

I love the capture of this moment in time. The processing doesn't work for me, and I see little to no tale-tale streaks that indicate motion panning. This looks more like stopped motion except for the trees. This tells me your shutter speed was too short to look like motion panning.

Needs a bit longer exposure to get more sense of motion. The background just looks soft and not really blurred by motion
