 My birdy buddy Jules, finishing a piece of an ice cream cone.
He was on my left hand, and I was shooting with the other hand with a P&S with no flash @ iso 800 for the Highest ISO Side Challenge Thread.
He is a cool bird. He calls me "Pa" and asks for water when he wants it and says many funny things, like telling the other birds to "Shut UP!" He learned that before he came here.

Most engaging. He and you seem to balance quite well; maybe next time you can eat the ice cream and he can use that dexterous right claw to take your picture. Do you show him your pics?

He's a cute bird. Not an easy thing to do, taking a picture that way... but you did it!!!

Wow Waddy!! He is huge. How's your left arm after he latches on with those talons? Ouch! He must have a beautiful temperament though. Excellent capture so close with your P&S.

thats a HUGE bird waddy and a great shot .. . i bet you have a very strong left arm .. !!
our little budgie, charlie, who would probably fit in jules's mouth, is getting tamer and tamer, altho still very much the cage body .. !!!! .. he's starting to talk too .. says 'pretty' and 'pretty boy' .. is starting to do my laugh which sounds even worse when done by a bird of the feathered variety .. its bad enough when i do it .. !!!
he's copying the wolf whistle and a few other whistle 'tunes' that i do to him ..
he had a really bad condition called scaley face mites .. dont know if i told you about it ... anyway .. the vet has been giving him drops of ivermectim on the back of his neck and it seems to have gone away .. this should maybe be in a pm, but i'm on a roll now .. !!
i'll give you a link to how he looked before .. if i hadnt taken the very close-up shots of him i would never have realised just how gross it was .. like coral growing on the sides of his beak .. i freaked out .. anyway .. its all good now .. i'm hoping he's not left with scaring on his beak .. i want him to be the prettiest of birds especially so's he looks very attractive in pics like your jules .. !!!
