Sooo... yea, if you didn't get it, it was the view of a bug looking up before it gets squished...

I haven't entered any challenges since the Olympics (Yay! Go Team Canada III, 3rd place!!!) because I've been working on getting my portfolio together.... so far I have my pictures in one gallery, and several restaurants have agreed to let me display them. I also submitted some pictures to a magazine and got one of my pictures on the front cover =) Yay!!!

.
anyways... back to this shot... it was simple... dig a whole in the ground about 6 inches deep, lay my camera in it with the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens in it, put the camera on Program mode (with auto FP on so the flash sync shutter speed can go above 1/200) and fire away with an IR remote... I used a SB-600 with a GF lightsphere laying on the ground to light me and mainly my boot... you can even see teh SC-28 TTL cable in the upper right corner of the pic... I would have liked to crop it out, but then I would have lost the grass on that edge, which I feel is very important....
.
took about 30 min start to finish... no biggie...

.
now, why did I use ISO 800??? ummm errrr..... no reason, it was a mistake.... had it that high from the night before and forgot to change it... my D90 can handle high ISO just fine so it didn't matter...

.
Either way... not sure how it will do... but I do kinda like the 3D effect from the lighting on the boot... meh =)

curious why you didnt remove digital artifacts and other goobers. terrific concept. check the ISO is a big problem for me also - cameras need a little fist to shoot out and whack us.

Hilarious title. Great perspective. I love that the green frames this. I find the flare distracting but it isn't overly distracting.

looks like several people had this idea... this one definitely has the best execution.

Haha, I had the same idea as you did. I like your version better though.
