 Taken on a family backpacking trip(dads and kids only) over Father's Day weekend. The kids ranged from 3 - 9 yrs old. I think they did better than the adults! There were three of these trees(I think they are Junipers) on a mountain near our camp. I scrambled up there a couple of evenings. I imagine these trees must be very old. Here is another shot from the top. Elevation around 9000'

Congrats on top ten Mark. I really enjoy this. The trees of the Sierras are great, is this a Juniper?

A nice picture of this old and beatiful tree! I think that it though would be better if you would crop out the stones on the bottom of the picture - as they draw unnecessary attention from the viewer.
