 I was just out taking pictures for the 4th of July and took some shots of flags. Wish I could have spot edited some of those clouds out. Every shot had just small glimpses of clouds in them. Would have been nice if it were a very cloudy day. Would have made for a better background.

Cpanaioti has hit the nail on the head really. The angle you have shot this at does not really portray the challenge topic.

Secondly a flag is not really a very inspiring subject, so no WOW factor there. Typically flags in general do not score well on DPC.

I gave it an 8. IMO i find the snap excellent. Clear, crisp and vibrant colors. Personally i was expecting it to end up in 6's.

The picture is very clear and sharp though I think it may have done better using the portrait orientation and exploiting the vertical aspect of the flag pole.

I didn't vote in this challenge but probably would have scored it a 5.

When taking pictures of common things, try shooting from an unusual angle to add interest and dynamics to to the image.

your colors are excellent and your flag is very sharp and crisp..I gave you a 7 for this (but I am finding that I have been voting higher than most of recent) IMO though you are lower than the top of the flag if you had gone to the base of the flag and looked up (more from the ground level) and taken a shot...I would have given you more points...those in this challenge that did just that...gave you a obvious point of view from the ground up (straight up) got higher scores from me...

i like the colors and composition. but i would prefer if you let the stick paralel to the left of the frame
