The couple at the table next to us left half their pizza. Within seconds the seagull saw his chance for a free lunch. Luckily I had my camera to hand. Not quite set up right as the gulls head is blown out, but I had no chance to do anything other than press the shutter release.

Great catch. I can't believe how well set up it is/appears, and I like the lighting and the red glow from the paper napkin on his front.

Hmm, I've actually seen this many times in real life, but less so on this Site. Cute though :)

seagull shots are a dime-a-dozen. However, I've never seen one eating pizza! I love it!

The placement of the arrows behind the bird made me laugh. I don't like the center composition though. With his head tilted it seems like he could have been more to the left with more free space on the right. He certainly hasn't bitten off more than he can... peck? :)

Hmmm.... Not sure abou this... I miss his feet and the lettering/arrows are distracting. It's sharp and well exposed except for the top of his head, but I find myself wishing he were someplace else to better show him off. (not voting)

Great catch! You couldn't have asked the bird to pose more perfectly! Sharp, and well exposed.

The background is bad, with those arrows under the bird

Man, if you just could have got him to step to the left and align the arrows a bit better...
LOL just kidding. I love this. The expression is priceless. Lot like when I fed a snapping turtle a peanut butter cracker. You could swear he was asking for a drink to go with it. Yours certainly meets the challenge to the max. Congrats.
