 Was supposed to submit this for the Never seen on DPC challenge, but changed my mind. This building is on top of the "Mars 2112" restaurant which is located underground a block away from Times Square. This shot was taken with my camera perfectly even with the ground, but not the underground...I hope it doesn't hurt the score.

PP: Color adjustments done in camera, used Warm WB to make the sky look red. JPEG opened in photoshop to crop, sharpen, and resize.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Well I totally get what you were aiming for with this image, but have to say, I think the red is hurting you big time here. Yes, totally get it with the Mars connection and all, but it really does not enhance this image very much. I think there was enough red in the image to start out with for the concept to have worked.

Composition etc all work fine for this one, but the colour is what is dragging your score down for sure.

This is very very red. Perhaps some other contrasts would bring out more of the details and give it more pop?
