I don't generally like noise in an image, so this was tough for me. Decided I wanted something textured (maybe old) and lo and behold, my windowsills need painting ;-) Used one on the front of the house, where the bricks are, for more texture. I wanted the flower for contrast; the dried petal fell off as I was placing the flower and I really liked the emotion of the full bloom looking a little depressed next to the petal. My imagination running wild again.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, white balance, duotone with 30% original color preserved, increased saturation on dried petal, sharpened, resized, sharpened again, added more noise, added border. |

| Love the purple and the brown. Nice desat treatment. Great dof, though the flower could be just a little lighter to pull it even more from the background. |
