After the Challenge Notes: The pinkish bleed-through was an unintended disappointment extant in the speed of creating an idea "last-minute." All week I had difficulty figuring-out something to fit the challenge, but on the last day in the last afternoon hours I finally "saw" this set of four pieces of ancient cookware that my wife inherited when one of here grandmothers died.

I decided to use only one for simplification, and I saw the great amount of sunlight available as it began to set. So, I threw a white portrait backdrop cloth over the A-frame of our swing set in the back yard that I had modified with a fencepost to aid my daughter's balance beam practice for her gymnastics class, (and which she and i had painted pink...because i wanted to teach her to paint with a big brush and she wanted to use pink.)

The balance beam was a good idea for taking advantage of the sunlight. Draping it only once was not a good idea.

So, there you have it! I'm starting to think, like a photographer, I'm just not taking my thinking far enough yet.

O, Well, Live & Learn! :)

very strange that this was shot on a white sheet but there is a magenta colored shadow. It makes me wonder what kind of light you shot in. I think overall there could have been more effort given here. Yes, no one has seen your grandmother's triangle pot, but no one has seen my armpit in a challenge either. The idea just isn't strong enough, and I think by adding a tilt, you were trying to compensate for that, which I don't think worked. You could have made this into a lovely still life with more dramatic lighting and the pot being the main subject and I would have given it a high score. This is just kinda "meh"

I couldn't even find a picture of a regular crockpot! I am floored!

Nice job.

Very interesting object. Wish I could see more of it, perhaps from a different angle.

Your right, I've not seen Grandma's cook pot before so yes, meets the challenge well. It doesn't have a WOW factor for me and I'm not overly happy with the foreground cloth

Nice product shot, I would have left a little more room on the bottom.

I've never seen one of these before. I like the tilt. .. but not the pink in the shadow. Replace color would take care of that, I think. Nice detail in the pot. (not voting)

this is quite unusual, great processing...might not have cut off the bottom left corner...but oh, well

Crazy pot! Maybe a wider crop would be better (i dont like the crop on the bottom of the pot) Maybe a dark background would be better to emphasize the silver color...
