A pseudo HDR (made from 1 RAW image) shot at 18mm, behind the outer wall at the Moon House Ruin in McLoyd Canyon, Cedar Mesa, UT. Quite the interesting and stressful hike with the 7 yr old. Lots of dropoffs and steep scrambles.
This is a very well preserved site, having some FULLY intact roofs still there. It is a large site also. About 200+ feet, with quite a few rooms, kivas, and graineries.

Bad coloration here, adnd some hotspots on the wall make this a 4/10

Interesting place; love the color and sense of antiquity. From this perspective I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what the object is in the upper middle of the image. A ceiling we're underneath? It almost looks like a flattish stone stuck vertically into the top of that house. Weird optical effect (or .. it's just me).

square crop to get rid of the left would make this a 10.

Perhaps cropping the underexposed left edge of the frame and/or converting to black and white would have given more impact. Good comp anyway.

I assume that this is a HDR shot...you give me pause for thought...not sure what to make of the deep shadows to the left, but I like how it opens up at the top where there is more light and detail that isn't lost...
