 Two dahlias.

Post:
Camera Raw adjustments in PS Elements 6.0.
Spot edit dust and distractions in the background.
Rotate CCW 90°.
Crop.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust sharpness.
New layer of levels and a layer of gradient map converting to greyscale.
Open the levels dialog and adjusted each of the red, green and blue channels.
Flatten.
Add noise, 20% gaussian, monchromatic.
New layer of levels resetting black and white points.
Resize.
USM.
