No question about meeting the challenge. ;-) The grayscale background is a good idea, but possibly overdone. The result makes the ball look like a flat illustration. The bottom edge and the ball's shadow could stand a bit more light. |

Nice shot. You don't often see Pool photos from right above but it works well. I think I would prefer it in full colour though. The symmetry works well with the overall composition. Your border is a bit uneven tho :) 7 |

clever shot, very intense.. unfortunately the texture of the table makes the photo look grainy and overworked. a very slight blur might help a little with that |

I'm not sure what happened here. I think the de sat might be the culprit. the front of the 3 ball is fine and shows great depth, but the back half of the ball looks flat and without dimension at all. |

Very nice. Desaturation of the colors except on the ball really emphasize the subject. |

Selective saturation is somewhat cliche now on DPC, but you used it with a creative composition, graphically attractive, so i like it :) |

technical issue: the upper left part of the ball is desaturated. |

I think the green of the billard table (assuming it is green, some are maroon) would have made a very nice contrast to the red 3-ball. The subject would have stood out very well without the selective desaturation. |
