A little underexposed- might have been a good place to force a fill flash. Good find. How'd you narrow them down to ONLY three? ;-) |

I feel the angle is not quite right, the emphasis is not on the insects but on the gap and background. better lighting is needed on the main subjects, just my opinion. |

I like the DOF and position of the bugs here. Great detail too. |

The background is somewhat distracting because it is so bright and cicades are dark. |

Probably partly due to "taste" (not crazy about insects), but from a composition standpoint, I would have liked it better with sharper focus, higher contrast/colors, and less of a crop I think. |

This is a good capture, I think it would look even better if it was a little sharper... and the detail and colours are certainly there. |

oh no, the Cicadas are coming! I'm glad I'm in the north-east, away from these noisy buggers. Great capture of their color and weird red eyes. |
