yes...this was originally intended for "threes" but I missed the submission time by 10 stinking minutes *argh*
anyways, when I read the sports (which I originally wasn't interested in submitting for) I realized it applied. As nothing said it had to be an ESPN sport. And although mostly gone in today's era there are several re-enactment groups that do in fact do this sport.
As for it being a team sport. Perhaps one should check out the SCA...particularly Pennsic which pits the rival kingdoms of the East with the kingdoms of the Middle.

(it seems once again my photo gets knocked and decried NOT on topic when it very much is...*sigh*...ignorance is the great killer of creativity)
IF YOU STILL DON'T BELIEVE IT'S A TEAM SPORT...THAN HERE!!!!

hmmm - the 'team' concept isn't entirely clear - three musketeers, perhaps? a little too much shine on the knives, and not enough light on the leather parts, imo... |

Very nice composition, but a little tightly cropped. I think the cropping makes the center focus a little less interesting. The connection to the challenge is weak for me. |

Where was this in Centered Composition? I like the composition, and scored this relatively highly. A little improvement on your lighting to bring out the metal qualities in the blades shown, and this would be my top pick for its originality. |

Without the title, this would have nothing to do with team sports. I think the title should be supplemental to the picture, not being the only thing that ties it to the challenge. |

The lighting in this seems a bit too harsh. Maybe try using a reflector or take the shot outside in the morning or early evening sun. The wrist guards are hard to make out with the chest guard since they're so close in colour. Good idea for a team sport though. |

This doesn't really say anything about sports. Your title is confusing. I think you mean football players used to wear armour, in reference to medieval games, but the wording actually suggest that football players wear armour *now* but this is what they used to wear. At any rate, nice try but I don't think this meets the challenge. As a still-life the subject is interesting but the composition adn the flat overhead lighting don't show it in an appealing way. The gauntlets look a bit out of focus. |

You got to show off your stuff, but it really doesn't fit the challenge. |

Unique idea! High score for originality. Not much to improve, except the two knives in the back are tilted slightly the left. Great photo! |

Stretches the sports thing too far, this would have nothing to do with sport if the title didn't help it there. |
