 Our main shot from Wednesday, the second clear night of our five night stay on the island. This shot is the result of two shots: the first with tracking turned on, so the camera (mounted on a telescope) cancels the earth's rotation, allowing the milky way to be captured in sharp detail. The second shot is made with the drive turned off, so the terrestrial features are captured sharply. The two photos are then combined in Photoshop.

beautiful! I was going to ask how you left the shutter open for 4 minutes and had no motion, but n/m, good explanation :)
