 Taken with my 70-300mm @235mm with a Raynox 250 Macroscopic adaptor.

Tons of stuff done in post - mostly in Nik Software (Viveza, Define, Color Efex, Pro Sharpener); also CS4 and Aperture 2.

Greetings from the Critique Club

A very well composed shot in my mind, using the rule of thirds as to placement of the ant. The color of the lower is nice and vibrant, while still remaining natural looking (not over saturated).
The detail with this macro is what stands out the most. You really captured the ant with very good clarity. Had this been submitted into a Macro challenge or Insect challenge I feel you would have placed higher. Being that the image is entered into a flower challenge, I feel it needed more attention on the flower itself to score higher. Very nice work though, keep on shooting!

Very good macro. The detail in the ant's head and surrounding petal is incredible. Seems to be more about the ant than the flower. 7
