A mint condition Fender Stratocaster guitar. I took this shot with the guitar laying on my dining room table. The color of the walls gave it the nice yellowish color on top, and the natural light from the right was coming in through the sliding doors.

Nothing special on the edits. Just your usual cloning of small inperfections, curves, levels on selected areas, usm, neatimage.

The hardest part was focusing on the right part of the guitar to get the whole thing in focus. This took several tries. :)

This picture is one of the best guitar shots I have seen. Even if one does not care about guitars it is great because the colors are subdued and the detail is followed on lock step from foreground to top nut. very impressive work. Congratulations and kudos. dan

Peggy, it was really tough to get the whole thing in focus. I used a 28mm (or less) teleconverter lens, and the highest Fstop possible. Then I moved back as far as possible and took about 20 or 30 shots, focusing on all different parts of the guitar until I saw a pic that looked focused on the entire length.

The great color on the guitar came from the walls of my living room area which is kind of a tan/yellowish color! And the light was natural (right side) from the sliding doors to the outside.

Glad you like it!

HOW?????? I cannot imagine . . . it's one thing to get it all in focus in a landscape, but in a STILL LIFE like this???? NO . . . how . . . .?

Genius!

Great job, and congratulations,
Peggy

Beautiful! I can't believe this came out of a Fuji S602! (I have one too.) Must be the photographer's skill to get such a beautiful clean looking shot! Well done!

I think this one should place near the top, ideally top 10 or higher. Great job on the deep DOF, nice silky smooth image (300D/10D?), great color saturation. Wow...

OK, I just saw the stapler picture and you have done for guitars what that stapler guy did. I've seen some cool guitar pics and this is just really cool. It's like a monster or a beautiful car. I really really like this one. Don't ask me why, it's just gorgeous 10

Very well done. This is a difficult picture to take, I'm sure, and you've done it perfectly. I might have cropped it without the plugin, but i don't play the guitar, so i don't have any emotional context. Awesome shot for the challenge. 9

I want to say it is a Fender. But tremelo doesn't appear to be a Strat. Nice shot, BUT I have seen this concept a million times. BUT I feel you did a good job. Do you play? I gave you a 6.
