No seriously, that's what it's called! This is Mt Paku, which literally translated from Maori, means "mother's bosom". Only found that out myself today.
I would have gone for something like bat's or cat's ears... lol, but there you go, luckily Maori thought a little deeper than I ;)
From what I have been led to believe, it was once an active volcano which during its last eruption, blew out the sides completely, giving it this wonderful shape. If there are any kiwis out there who know a bit more, please add! Not a lot of info about this mountain available on the webs.

| This is really nice, Rina! The key, of course, are the two wee little people on the beach, giving this scale and majesty. The purples don't hurt it either. And then the nifty bits of houses on the hill - one always thinks of volcanos as being hostile - this one looks quite friendly and accomodating! |
