 The right half of this photo depicts reflections in the stainless steel Cloud Gate sculpture in Millennium Park.

The tall "obelisk" depicted in the center is actually a distorted reflection of the building on the far left (which is the only non-reflected image in this photo).

The reflections of other buildings are distorted by the curvature and irregularities of the sculpture's surface, hence the title, since I thought this kind of looked like a wave of heat progressing across a scene.

PP (in no particular order):
Convert from raw, Rotate, Color, Hue/Sat, Levels, Curves, USM, Noise Ninja, Channel Mixer, Cloning to blend sky & remove distracting discolorations/blemishes in the building(s) and reflection.

I miss Chicago...I know you don't care. :) In any case, the juxtaposition of the reflection and the real landscape is perfect for this challenge. I like how the Aon Building is leaning into the its reflected counterparts. It really makes the illusion effective.
