Critique Club Review:
Color Saturation and Hue: Colors and Hues are realistic, nothing is over saturated.
Brightness and contrast: Overall brightness is well done, as is contrast.
Focus and depth of field: Focus is nice and sharp. Depth of field could be more shallow to help isolate the subject from a distracting background. A wider aperture opening would have helped with this.
Subjective: Photographing under leafy trees is difficult, as can see by the lighting variations across the subject. There are a couple of spots that are distractingly bright. The upper arm and base of the throat, are pretty bright. The lighting variations can result in a mottled appearance. I can't tell if she is on a hill, or leaning, but the background makes it look as if she is on the side of a hill. On the other hand, the plant next to her, makes her look like she is leaning. I also find myself wishing her left arm was not cut off.
I'd really like to see this redone with a little different pose, and not quite so centered. This has the bones of a very good picture, and your model has a great smile. |
