 In the last username challenge I shot a self portrait with this type of nametag. It was a basic edit challenge and I think I ended up going with the other challenge instead as my image was not really strong. When this came up again I wanted to revisit that idea but in a much better manner.

This is Mike Carter. He is a ministry leader within our congregation and a willing model. He posed for me in the last sugar challenge smoking a candy cigarette. He came over last night for a meeting and I talked him into sitting for a couple of shots for this challenge. Slapped the name tag on him and took 5 pictures. No need for anything fancy - his look and the concept were the two driving factors and I wanted to keep it all as simple as possible. Serious yet amusing is what I was going for. I hope I hit that mark.

Strobist style lighting - 430 through a shoot through, white backdrop about 8 feet away that goes dark, simple editing to make him look a bit more rugged. Pretty straightforward though with nothing super fancy. Hoping for a 6.2 at least.

I will be putting in a ticket to have this photo DQ'd. Unless the birth name of fine looking gentlemen is actually "Horse", this shot is a sham and should be eliminated from competition. And the photographer should be forced to comment on all entries for the next 6 months....

lol..."Hello, my name is Horse"...that's too funny. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the connection. lol. But the placement of the head and name tag in opposing corners is pure genius. The lighting and processing are great.

8 - Funny. The facial expression says so much, that matched with that name tag, plus the DPC element to this, just makes this a unique and humorous image. Well done.
