Nice idea, but I think a little bit of effort could have been put into making this a more interesting shot. A dirty floor isn't the most interesting backdrop for a photograph. Also, I think this is not exactly what I picture in my mind when I think of baseball. How about some action next time like a ball being caught or something to jazz up the photo. |

The background is a bit distracting, but otherwise, fairly good composition. |

The subject is fine but I think you shoulc have chosen better background. |

It looks like a harsh flash was used here. Also the shot would be better in an outdoor enviroment to seem more natural. |

Try to think about negative space and rule of thirds. This is a good idea, but it's very distracting in the negative space - the pipes in behind. Also, the lighting is okay, but the colours need to be more saturated. |

More care and thought needs to go into a still-life. The background is very ugly and says nothing about the subject. Placing the subject in context (a baseball field, a child's bed to show preparation for a game, etc) or in front of a simple background (unpatterned neutral cloth or background paper)
would be much more effective. Your focus is sharp and the lighting is good if rather flat and mundane. |

This shot may have worked better outside. |

The background really detracts from the image. I would've taken the picture more directly over the top to only see the floorboards. |

are those bats in the background? i think it would look better if they were either totally in the picture or totally out of the picture. very nice focus |

Only thing wrong with this shot is the background/flooring. Try a tighter crop or a better style background. |

with still life you might want to try using long exposure shots with natural light instead of using flash |

Seems a little contrived. I would have gone for less depth of field, and blurred out the background. |

not sure I like the background here, and the ball is a little overexposed, but a very sharp shot, which I love. |
